Q&A

Q: The game crashes

A: All large iPhone apps such as Bugdom 2 will sometimes crash if you have not rebooted your iPhone in several days. As a general rule, you should reboot your iPhone at least once every 3 to 4 days to keep apps running smoothly. To reboot it, hold down the Power button for 10 seconds.

Q: How do I control the character?

A: You use tilt the iPhone to move him, and press the neutral button to set the neutral tilt. You swipe up to kick, and swipe down to pickup/drop items. There is more to know, so read the Controls section of the Bugdom 2 Instruction Manual.

Q: Is there a d-pad control?

A: The first form of control we tried was a virtual D-Pad control on the screen. This did not work at all because there's no tactile feedback - you cannot feel the buttons. So, what would happen is that the player's fingers would drift and it was impossible to use. Then we tried the accelerometer controls and found them to work much, much better than the virtual D-Pad. The D-Pad was so awful that we decided not to even offer it as an option, therefore, no, the only way to control the player in the game is with the accelerometer.
