How come the Mac game Otto Matic runs seamlessly on any Mac system, but the mobile apps have issues with every single software update?

My intention is to install an emulator called SheepShaver to run System 9 programs on a modern Mac. My intention is to try to run older games such as Bugdom or Weekend Warrior on the new iMac so I can make gameplay recordings. However, alas, the download from their site seems to just be a bunch of generic code and program files, with no executable application. The site does , but just says to launch the supposed application. What do?

In general, how hard is it to equip a game with a built-in game recorder? Not one that simply copies the screen, but records the gameplay and then renders it into any resolution. I have seen it in a few small, simple games that are still in Alpha. Is this easy or pratical to do? Does it necessatate a powerful computer?

In general, what would it take to port old OS 9 games to run on modern computers? Is it an easy, simple effort? Is anyone equipped with or have access to means of doing it?

I am not talking about emulation (Classic, Sheep Shaver, etc.). Discs are not very practical anymore, and emulation can significantly reduce performance quality. Is there a way to port these old games to natively run in OS X?

Taking notice of your company-branded publication Pangea Software’s Ultimate Game Programming Guide for Mac OS X, many of the included files seem to no longer be applicible in the modern Xcode program (Interface Builder, etc.). Fortunatly however, I am equiped with an old Mac with the first version of Xcode.

Alas though, I am stuck on Chapter 2. It doesn't instruct where to enter the included code or how to insert it. What do I do?

This applicable software seems not to be found on the store. 3D panoramas are quite a pratical asset, and I can make great use of them. Equipped with Maya nonetheless, how can they be created manually?

This game beholds some capital glitches. With flippers revolving around instead of rotating, flipping from the wrong end, or even just spinning around rapidly; the gameplay is pretty much impossible. The recording function is also unavailing, otherwise there is much more I could show. Oh what a twisted illness this application has become.

It is said on the Nanosaur page that Nanosaur Extreme does not run in Classic mode on OS X. But behold, here it is in full action on a G4 iMac running Panther.

Air Wings / Import the maps from other Pangea games!

It is my kindly proposal, that the level maps from other works such as Otto Matic or Weekend Warrior be used in Air Wings! The topiary maze from Weekend Warrior or the anthill boss map in Bugdom would be great settings for an Air Wings battle.

Weekend Warrior / Weekend Warrior network play problem

The network play feature in Weekend Warrior will lead to this screen, and then simply not work. None of the radio buttons can be checked, and no buttons will do anything. It is necessary to force-quit the game after this screen is reached.

Perhaps just a local hardware problem, you might gather. However, attempting Network Play on three other computers still gave the same unavailing result; all of them compelling to be force-quited each time. Has anyone else had this problem when trying Network Play?

Weekend Warrior / How to complete the mine arena!

      • These methods are most advantageous using the Cowboy character, as he is the fastest.
      • Once in the arena, use Manual Cam (Tab) and zoom all the way out (2). This will give you a bird's-eye view and make navigating clear.
      • Leave the Uranium until you reach the end, then come back and pick it up. This will save you a significant amount of health and a much better likelihood of completing the level.
      • Whenever possible, pin an enemy behind a barrel or present and approach them until you're close enough to attack. They can't fight back.
      • Pin enemies behind a mouse and it will steadily drain their health until they fall dead. You won't have to confront them.
