Weird Ranking Anomaly

Brian Greenstone, CEO Pangea:
In the last few days Air Wings' iPad rankings have shot up.  This happens from time to time, but it is usually the result of more people downloading the game.  However, the downloads over this same time period have actually gone *down*.  I don't get it.  We've had fewer downloads, yet our rankings have gone up 50%.  I wonder if Apple changed the ranking algorithm again.



We weren't even ranked in the Top iPad Games list, but now we're #363 and rising fast.

During times of economic down-turns folks become more violent. They enjoy & encourage violent activities.  8)

perhaps the found a way to actually track if folks are enjoying themselves. if that was possible you could be #1!

is the ranking based on usage, players on AW, time?, downloads?, is a 4 grade Differential equation?
