OK, I was wrong about the quadro when it first came out. I've played with it a ton, mastered it, & have fun flying it, and I've flown against it plenty, too, & it hasn't changed the game from what it was. I don't mind flying against it any longer at all---although it is sort of a wild card and can do a lot of damage sometimes. I'd rather play against it with my tiburon (even if the quadro is being flown by one of the very rare people who have mastered it) than fly against a good balsa player. It's a close call and I still don't like seeing quadros simply due to the massive amount of ammo they spit out all over the room when flown well, but I'm glad they're part of the game (although I sort of wish they were just those mini, regular looking helicopters u can fly in the house so they didn't look so much like an alien space craft invading AW).
I do still wish they didn't get blown around so far because that makes piloting them & doing well inconsistent & based more on luck than skill & I see this as a game of skill, like I've mentioned. If they ever stopped being blown around so far into things randomly, though, then they'd become much more dangerous . . . . It's been long enough for people to get really good w/them, yet when u watch them on the radar in a game u'll see them slowly spin out in a crash (& mostly not due to pilot error in my experience once u've flown it for awhile, but by being blown into something out of nowhere), than go down dogfighting. It's actually frustrating for me when they go down like that when I'm fighting them, too, b/c I'd much rather win by taking them down myself as it's anti-climatic to win a game b/c someone simply crashed.
